Bathurst Bulldogs Junior Rugby Union Football Club Welcome. Bathurst Bulldogs Junior Rugby Club would like to invite you to join our club for the upcoming season. Our club offers something for everyone and promises fun and entertainment in a safe and friendly environment. We offer Rugby for U/13's with an intention to provide a team in the U/15's from 2010 & then U/17's next season (2011). We also have an association with the local 'Bathurst Burrs' Junior Rugby Club who provide teams in U/7, U/9 & U/11's. Formation The Junior club was formed by the dedication of a small but enthusiastic group of volunteers that wanted to provide a pathway for juniors to play rugby in Bathurst within the Central West Rugby competition. Location. Based in the Central West of NSW, Bathurst is located approximately 2 1/2 hours west of Sydney. With a population of approximately 37000 people. Our new home ground is Anne Ashwood Park, just off Hereford Street on the eastern side of Bathurst.
Colours. Bathurst Bulldogs Club colours are Blue and yellow hoops with blue shorts and blue and yellow hooped socks.
Tradition. Our Senior club, of which we are a sub-committee, is steeped in tradition. Bulldogs are one of the oldest inland Rugby teams in Country NSW. Formed in 1874 under the name of "Bathurst Football Club" such notable players as Ben Chifley, former Prime Minister, have graced our hallowed turf. Many other notable dignitaries have pulled on the jumper for the Bathurst Football Club, Bathurst Teachers College, Bathurst City Rugby Club and now, Bathurst Bulldogs Rugby Club. Australian Representatives (at all levels) such as Ron Graham, Marty Roebuck, Matt Stock, Lars Hedburg, have also pulled on the Blue and Gold at some stage.
